(27/1/17) Seen a snake?

If you spot a snake near bushland or foreshore reserves it’s important you do not approach the snake and immediately report the sighting to the City. We can then provide more alerts to the visitors in the area. Warning signs are also installed at known snake areas.

If it's out of hours and a snake is prohibiting access to a facility it's best to contact an experienced snake catcher to relocate the snake without harm to the snake or people. Volunteer snake relocators can be contacted through Wildcare Helpline on 08 9474 9055.

You can also try Wild Things Animal Control Solutions 0403 933 077 who will remove snakes for a fee.

There's plenty more info on the Department of Wildlife and Protection website.
