There’s been a bit of confusion lately about dog-friendly and dog prohibited areas at South Beach. Please be aware the pictured area is strictly a dog prohibited zone.

The closest dog zone area is the South Fremantle Dog Beach, located north of Douro Road to the Fremantle Sailing Club (Marine Terrace). All other areas at South beach are dog prohibited zones.

Dogs are more than welcome in the dog beach area, and at 18 other off leash dog exercise areas around the City of Fremantle.

Our reserves and beaches are available to everyone, so we ask all dog owners to respect the signage in place and use the appropriate areas when visiting with their pets.
