Western Power works notice

To make sure you have a safe and reliable electricity supply into the future, Western Power is making some big improvements across the network.

This includes a substantial investment in the City of Fremantle, replacing 200 power poles and 15 kilometres of overhead powerlines. Work will commence in January and continue through to the end of July 2017, starting in North Fremantle.

Keeping the community and our crews safe throughout these works is our number one priority. It is not always safe to work on live lines so there will be times when we will need to interrupt the power supply.

To help you prepare we will let you know ahead of time if your home or business will be affected by a power outage. If you are a business and would like us to consider your circumstances, please call us on 13 10 87.

To ensure that you’re kept up to date about both planned and unplanned outages we recommend that you visit the Western Power website for the outage map. This will provide current outage location and estimated restoration time. To find out more information about the program of work click through to the Western Power Community section on the website and continue through to 'Work in your area'.
