Fremantle Sustainable Gardens competition
The Inaugural 2009 Fremantle Sustainable Gardens competition is almost
here! Competition opens 1 July 2009 until 31 August 2009, and is open to
all Fremantle residents. Celebrity Gardeners Josh Byrne (Gardening
Australia), Sabrina Hahn (ABC Gardening), and Peter Tagliaferri (Mayor
of Fremantle) will judge the gardens over 3 categories:
1. The Verge Garden
2. The Food Garden
3. The Native Garden
Whether your garden has been around for 1 decade, 1 month, or 1 minute,
as long as they are native or consumable, all are accepted. Lunch at
Frasers in Kings Park one of many prizes on offer for winners.
This inaugural competition is being hosted by the Faculty of
Sustainability, Environment and Life Sciences, Murdoch University, with
the support of the City of Fremantle.
or in person at the Fre-info desk in the Library, Town Hall Centre
located on the ground floor 8 William Street, Fremantle.
